Hilo Operator/Truck loader

Sit-Down Hi-Lo Operator / Yard Driver / Truck Loader Cardinal Staffing is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Sit-Down Hi-Lo Operator / Yard Driver / Truck Loader to support daily yard and warehouse operations at our Livonia facility. This role is responsible for operating a sit-down forklift (hi-lo), transporting materials throughout the facility and yard, and loading/unloading trucks safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has prior forklift experience and is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Essential Responsibilities Operate a sit-down hi-lo (forklift) in a safe and efficient manner Load and unload flatbeds, trailers, and delivery trucks Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and yard Stage materials for production and shipment Verify quantities and materials against shipping documentation Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and loading area Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous sit-down forklift (hi-lo) experience required Valid drivers license required (CDL not required unless specified) Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently Strong attention to safety and detail Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently and in a team environment Work Environment Industrial warehouse and outdoor yard setting Exposure to heavy equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures Required use of PPE including steel-toe boots, safety vest, and safety glasses At Cardinal Staffing, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
