Accounts Payable & Receivable Analyst - St. Louis Concordance's reentry program is designed to dramatically reduce recidivism by helping individuals with justice involvement lead meaningful, abundant, and joyful lives. As AR/AP Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting and finances of Concordance. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding the assets of the firm as we scale our operations across the nation. Key Responsibilities - Your Role Will Involve: Providing support for the accounting department: Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices in compliance with company policies. Perform two-way matching by verifying invoices against purchase orders, resolving discrepancies as needed. Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and other methods, adhering to authorization guidelines. Reconcile vendor statements with internal records, identifying and correcting any discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing tasks such as generating accounts payable aging reports, accruals, and reconciliations. Support audit processes by providing documentation and addressing auditor inquiries. Collaborate with vendors to evaluate performance and maintain strong supplier relationships Familiarity with reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies. Create and maintain purchase orders to support operations Analyze inventory usage Strong proficiency in using accounting software and working efficiently on a computer. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with invoice coding Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members. The Right Candidate Will Come With The Following Attributes, Education, Experience And Meet The Physical Requirements. Personal Attributes: Passion for our mission Strong financial and accounting acumen, including understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and nonprofit financial management Accuracy and attention to detail Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent Skills and Competencies: 3-5+ years of experience in related finance or accounting roles Demonstrates proficiency in QuickBooks and banking platform systems Physical Requirements: Sit, stand, and walk for a considerable amount of time throughout the day. Occasionally, help set up Center events or move classrooms around including but not limited to carrying and setting up tables and chairs.
