Sourcing Agent - White River Marine Group

Sourcing Agent White River Marine Group is seeking a Sourcing Agent responsible for executing sourcing activities for materials and components supporting multiple boat brands across our manufacturing network. This role supports sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, and drives cost effectiveness of direct materials. The Sourcing Agent works closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality supply chain. Essential Functions: Supplier Management: Strengthen relationships with current suppliers. Discover, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers. Cost Management: Maintain system costs at high level of accuracy. Identify cost savings opportunities with an eye toward quality and delivery performance. Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms while maintaining WRMG requirements for cost, quality, delivery and service. Market Analysis: Requires an awareness of market trends, commodity and material prices, and global developments leading to informed decisions. Quality: Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, and quality team to ensure materials and components meet WRMG quality standards. Reporting: Prepare reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, commodities, and market conditions for management review. Problem Resolution: Resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions, supplier performance or material quality. All Other Duties As Assigned Experience/Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree relevant to material management, purchasing activities preferred (if applicable) Certificate(s) or License(s): Years of experience: 1-4 years of experience related to material management, sourcing and purchasing activities. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: Strong attention to detail and high standards for personal performance Proficiently uses Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel for data analysis Experience using ERP/procurement systems (AS400, SAP, Oracle, Epicor or similar) Confident and professional communication style for supplier negotiations Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency for results Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Travel Requirements: 5% or as needed; Some travel may be required to support supplier quality program and ensure supplier compliance Physical Requirements: Regularly sits and does computer work. Occasionally walks and stands. Seldom/Never lifts up to 50 lbs. Independent Judgement: Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices.
