(Physician/MD qualifications required) Pediatrics - A Longstanding Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Cayuga County, New York is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatrician to join it's highly professional and experienced staff to provide exceptional care to the center's patients in a team-based care approach. Successful candidate will work in a pediatric office with three board certified Pediatricians, three mid-levels and a board-certified Family Medicine Practitioner. The Pediatrician shall provide pediatric health care services and education to children and adolescents based upon their medical and psychosocial needs, and according to the standards established by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the New York City Administration for Children's Services. Provision of services shall be in accord with all applicable Federal and State laws, rules and regulations. Manage the health and well-being of patients, in every stage of development, from newborns to young adults. Perform wellness visits, sick visits, urgent care, and follow up visits. Establish diagnosis and treat patients Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong clinical skills and sound judgment. Prescribe medication and monitor patient medications. Administer vaccines. Working knowledge of NYS Vaccines for Children program a plus. Refer patients to specialists as needed. Document visit and chart in the HER. At least three years' experience as a Pediatrician in a family or pediatric practice is preferred. Will consider applicants for full-time or part-time position.
