We are looking for a cheerful and enthusiastic individual to be the smiling face that greets every patient and ensures they receive they highest level of care. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills. This person must be detail oriented and enjoy finding solutions to all the unique situations a patient may present. Experience in the optometry or health care field is preferred but NOT required. Multi-tasking skills, computer competency, working well with a team, and willingness to learn and have an open mind are an absolute must. Positive attitude is important! Knowledge will come with training. Position includes but not limited to insurance verifying/filing, preliminary work ups, scheduling appointments, and frame styling. We have many cool instruments in our office that our patients love and makes taking measurements for glasses a much easier process for staff and patients.Follow protocols for checking patients in/out and keying office visitsCollecting co-pays, deductibles, and balances.Accurately verifies patient insurance and enters into practice management system.Answer phones and properly greet and register patients.Customer Service- Provides excellent customer service to continuously enchance customer and staff satisfaction.Excellent communication skillsStrong organization skillsWell organized with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple task simultaneouslyExcellent follow up skillsAbility to work as a team player Responsibilities and Duties PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESFront Desk Duties: Patient Scheduling, Apt Verifications, Checking in/out, phonesInput all patient demographic information; type of exam, maintain patient recordsMaintain, clean, disinfect exams rooms, pre-test areasDispensing Contact Lenses; Contact Lens Insertion and Removal Teaching SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESOptician duties when optician is not available: frame styling, explaining lens technologies and patient benefits.Patient Insurance: Pulling, verifying, filingChecking glasses/contact upon receipt from UPS/FedExDispensing glassesSubmitting Vision Claims to InsuranceManage Contact Lens Inventory, stock trial contact lenses upon receipt TERTIARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESMonly Basis: check medical supplies in exam room and replenish as necessary (sample Rx drops, contact solutions, etc.)Check mail/mailboxAssist in patient teachings when neededGeneral cleaning duties: weekly vacuum, take out trash, replish supplies like paper towels and tissues, keep exam rooms stocked of necessary items, wipe down glass top on desk, keep waiting room organized & tidy.
