Material Handler

Basic Job Functions: The Material Handler is a position in production with the primary responsibilities including but not limited to: Unloading raw materials and supplies utilizing forklift and Sky Trak, daily cycle counts and ordering of certain raw materials and supplies, re-supply stocks at the EAF, LMF, Caster and Refractory areas, and general housekeeping of specific areas of the Melt Shop. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Forklift Certified. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and off shifts. Supervisor and manager recommendation. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Melt Shop Operations
