Job Details This is an Armed Security Officer position for locations in Fairfield and New Haven counties. Please see details below. Current Wage: $27.46 hour THIS IS A UNION POSITION WITH ANNUAL COST OF LIVING INCREASES EVERY SEPTEMBER - 2026 HOURLY RATE $28.60 BENEFITS INCLUDE: Overtime after 40 hours/week at time-and-a-half. Career advancement & transfer rights REQUIREMENTS: Minimum five years law enforcement, corrections or active military armed experience Must currently own a full-size Glock or Smith & Wesson in either 9mm or .40 caliber Armed Security Officer Responsibilities Staying very alert Monitor pedestrian traffic in and out of facility Patrolling premises frequently to maintain safety of employees, patients and clients Using oral de-escalation when needed Writing daily reports of any incidents that may occur Armed Security Officer Qualifications and Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Can always stay alert Ability to work in high pedestrian traffic environments Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required CT Carry permit CT Armed security license Please apply to the posting and our USI Recruitment Team will reach out to set up a Virtual Interview.
