Job Opportunity - OB/GYN Labor & Delivery - North CarolinaStart Date: August 29 or December 25 (multiple assignment dates available) Location: Central North Carolina Region Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants Schedule: 24-hour shifts; 5-10 patient encounters per shift in an 8-bed Labor & Delivery unit Highlights:Level III trauma facility with comprehensive OB/GYN capabilities Manage both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies with full delivery support Perform routine and complicated deliveries including cesarean sections, VBAC, breech, and multiple births Complete surgical privileges: open and laparoscopic gynecologic procedures Office-based gynecology skills utilized including IUD placement, colposcopy, LEEP, and cryosurgery Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days Requirements:Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required Active medical license (IMLC not accepted) Fellowship training preferred Proficiency in FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds (Level I screening), and amniocentesis Experience with repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations, low forceps delivery, and c-section decision-making Why It's a Fit: This position offers comprehensive OB/GYN practice in a supportive community setting with access to advanced maternal care resources.
