Sustainability Logistics Assistant The Sustainability Logistics Assistant plays a pivotal role in the production and post-production phases, supporting the Sustainability Logistics Manager in implementing and assessing sustainability initiatives during events. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with on-site logistics. For the duration of the event, you will mainly be located at our Back of House (BOH) Headquarters. Essential Functions: Ensure timely delivery of equipment, assets and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the event. Assist Logistics Manager with inventory of all assets related to sustainability operations, including but not limited to reusable materials, signage, tools, supplies and promotional items. Maintain constant communication with the Sustainability Logistics Manager, Programming Manager, Sustainability Coordinator and Sustainability Operations Manager. The position may be required to assist with BOH sorting operations when needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of waste management processes. Post-Production: Assist with overseeing and conducting the breakdown and storage of all supplies used for sustainability and recycling programs. Requirements: Utilize the Absentee Request Form for accurate reporting of absenteeism. Maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues. Submit any intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival to the Festival Finance Office as required. Attend and complete all required training sessions. Submit Feedback Forms and Final Reports promptly. Perform any additional work-related duties as assigned. Experience, Education, and Skills Required: Passion for environmental awareness and sustainability impacts. A willingness, flexibility, and positive attitude to foster the growth and success of the festival. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google Workspace Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Self-directed and able to work without supervision Able to work outdoors for 10-12 hours a day during festival days (April 24-April 27, May 1-4) Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, handle stress in a high-pressure production setting, and lift objects up to 40 lbs. Note: This role requires occasional heavy lifting and flexibility in working hours to accommodate festival schedules.
