Inside Sales / Applications Engineer activities include fielding customer inquiries; understanding and applying rotating equipment; preparing customer proposals; troubleshooting and problem solving, supporting pre-order and post-order processes; and building relationships with customers and principals.Our most successful Inside Sales Representative / Application Engineers:Possess superior communication and organizational skillsExhibit goal-oriented behaviors and time management principlesApply extensive attention to detail to all tasksExude a customer-focused attitudeHave the ability to resolve problems as they ariseTelephone & email reception for incoming service callsPossess a High School Diploma, or equivalentStrong written and verbal communication skillsPossess strong customer service, negotiation, and presentation skills, with in-depth product knowledge and the ability to build lasting client relationshipsReview and evaluate technical specifications (industrial)Training and experience with pumps and pump systems, compressed air, mechanical seals, and heat transfer equipment preferredExcellent computer proficiency is required, advanced Microsoft Excel is preferredTechnical or Business degree required; Bachelor's degree preferredMust be able to pass background and reference checks, as well as a drug testScope of responsibility:Inside Sales & Outside Sales Engineers work together to develop plans, strategies, tools, and work practices to drive sales and profitability by providing cost-effective solutions to their customers.Specific roles and responsibilities of Inside Sales Engineers include:Product and market expertiseEffectively communicate with a broad array of customers, including engineering, maintenance, and purchasing staffProvide professional and prompt responses via phone, fax, email, in-person, etc.Review and evaluate technical specifications (industrial)Prepare quotations and proposals, and execute a follow-up process utilizing company tools and guidelinesEnter purchase orders into NetSuite and place orders with manufacturers using their systems and procedures as wellExpedite orders as needed to meet customer requirements.
