Registered Dental Hygienist | Dr. David Shepherd | Full Time | $1,500 Sign On Bonus! Full Time Registered Dental Hygienist needed to join our long-standing team at David Shephard DMD Cosmetic and Family Dentistry office in Pelham! We are looking for an energetic personality and a team player. Performing quality and efficient dental hygiene procedures is what this person should bring to our office, along with a great attitude! Building and maintaining positive and professional relationships with our patients is what we strive for as an office! Need the ability to educate patients on oral hygiene and speak to patients about necessary treatment is required, as well as being comfortable with diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, and being familiar with Dentrix is a plus. Our patients are like family to us, so we are looking for someone to join the family! $1,500 Sign on Bonus! Competitive pay offered Job Duties May Include: Conduct patient screening procedures; including assessment of oral health conditions, review of patient health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse Take digital radiographs Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program and emergency treatment Demonstrate proficient skills in dental prophylaxis and proper use of cavitron/prophy jet Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides) Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth used by dentists to evaluate patient treatment needs) Promote an atmosphere supportive of good dental and general health by demonstrating proper oral hygiene, educating patients on techniques of flossing and brushing in accordance with protocol, effectively communicating oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counseling, and dispensing proper oral hygiene aids Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion to that patient Chart entire dentition and hard and soft tissue evaluation, including existing restorations, decay, perio charting and treatment documentation Provide positive, professional leadership role; demonstrate positive patient/staff rapport Stock all needed supplies and maintain equipment Successfully maintain recall system Demonstrate basic knowledge of applicable computer functions Full Time Schedule: Monday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (lunch from 12:30pm - 1:30pm) Tuesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (lunch from 12:30pm - 1:30pm) Wednesday: 7:30am - 11:30am Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (lunch from 12:30pm - 1:30pm) Friday: 7:30am - 11:30am Smile Jobs is the exclusive recruiting partner for a network of independent neighborhood practices and boutique groups located throughout Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, and Alabama.
