ARRT / ARDMS - Ultrasound Technologist Shift: Days, 40 Hours Per Week, 5x8, On Call, Employment Type: Travel, 13-Week Contract Job Overview: MLee Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiographer to join a growing medical team. The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). They maintain a State License as a general radiographer and/or are a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Responsibilities include providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and according to departmental protocols. Tasks encompass performing abdominal, pelvic (including gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally, proficiency extends to scanning small parts such as the thyroid, breast, and scrotum, as well as conducting ultrasound-guided procedures including biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations. Responsibilities: Perform radiographic examinations on patients using X-ray and other imaging modalities. Position patients properly to obtain high-quality images and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures. Adjust imaging equipment settings to ensure clarity and accuracy of images. Process and analyze radiographic images to identify any abnormalities or indications of disease. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and discuss imaging results. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize exposure risks to patients and staff. Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety. Stay updated on advancements in radiography technology and procedures through continuing education and professional development. Qualifications: Degree in Radiography or related field from an accredited institution. Certification in Radiography (ARRT or equivalent) required. State licensure or certification as required by regulatory authorities. BLS required Epic experience required Preferred Qualifications: Experience with additional imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, or ultrasound. Specialized certification in a specific area of radiography (e.g., mammography, fluoroscopy). Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
