Sr. Customer Coordinator Position Description Sr. Customer Service is an early-career commercial role responsible for owning customer costing, RFIs, and proposal development while supporting the inside sales process from initial inquiry through order readiness. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Operations, and Finance and ensures that customer pricing, labor assumptions, and production costs are accurate, well-documented, and aligned with manufacturing capabilities. This position is ideal for a candidate with 35 years of experience as a quoter, estimator, or costing analyst in a manufacturing or CPG environment who is looking to grow deeper commercial and operational expertise. Responsibilities Costing & Pricing Ownership Calculate and maintain production costs, including labor, materials, overhead, and cycle times. Develop and maintain standard labor models by line, format, and SKU (headcount, run rates, changeovers). Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and sensitivity analyses to support pricing decisions and customer proposals. Analyze actual production costs versus standard costs, identifying variances and improvement opportunities. Maintain and update standard cost data in ERP systems (e.g., iPro), ensuring accuracy and audit readiness. Support pricing updates and changes as production methods, volumes, or equipment evolve. Inside Sales & Commercial Support Support inside sales activities by managing RFIs, pricing requests, and proposal costing. Partner with Business Development and Customer Success teams to ensure accurate and timely customer responses. Assist with customer pricing reviews, revisions, and clarification requests. Maintain clear documentation of costing assumptions, exclusions, and key cost drivers within proposals. Production & Operations Collaboration Partner with Production, Filling, and Packaging teams to validate labor standards and costing assumptions. Conduct time studies and line observations to validate staffing levels, throughput, and efficiencies. Participate in new product launches by establishing initial costing assumptions and validating first-run performance. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering when process or equipment changes impact cost. Communicate with BD if volume, specs, or pricing changes are warranted Continuous Improvement & Reporting Analyze production efficiency metrics (e.g., bottles per minute, downtime, yield) to identify cost-reduction opportunities. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on labor optimization, throughput, and utilization. Prepare costing, efficiency, profitability, and KPI reports for leadership decision-making. Track and maintain costing KPIs and performance reports to support operational and commercial improvements. Documentation & Controls Ensure all costing data, assumptions, and methodologies are documented and audit ready. Assist in developing and maintaining procedures, policies, and internal controls related to costing and pricing. Support data accuracy efforts by working with shop-floor data correction systems (manual and electronic). Other Assist in training production leaders on labor standards, cost drivers, and basic costing principles. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related field preferred. 35 years of experience in quoting, estimating, costing, or manufacturing analytics within a manufacturing or CPG environment. Experience working cross-functionally with operations, finance, and sales teams. Experience with ERP systems; iPRO preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail. Working knowledge of labor standards, production costing, and manufacturing operations. Ability to translate operational data into clear pricing and customer-ready proposals. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP and CRM experience preferred (e.g., AS400, iPRO, Monday.com). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Working Conditions Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered. Limited travel (Responsible for and maintaining RFI & costing KPIs, reports performance, and initiates improvement efforts.
