Assembler Navigate computer-based work instructions to install parts and hardware using hand tools and fixtures as needed on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a Lean manufacturing clean-room environment. Responsibilities include: Use hand tools, torque wrenches, equipment, and fixtures to assemble WFE. Read and navigate work instructions and schematics. Work collaboratively in teams to maintain workflow and production schedules. Provide flexibility for changing priorities, including rework and pilot build projects. Verify correct parts delivery and perform visual inspection of components prior to installation. Assist with audits through visual inspection and checklist verification. Close assigned tasks by verifying work completion, confirming Cell Fusion was completed, and signing off and providing a description of work performed. Install parts and hardware correctly by following Cell Fusion instructions and using tools/fixtures as needed. Consistently exhibit behaviors aligned with Lam's core values. Safety protocol includes: Complete all required safety training. Follow safe work practices: lift no more than 35 pounds and use ergonomic pads and stretch as needed. Adhere to personal and product safety guidelines: utilize appropriate PPE, follow clean-room procedures, comply with Lockout Tagout (LOTO & ZEST) policies, and use fixtures (hoists, cranes, lifting tools) for assembly. Perform Risk Management By Walking Around (RMBWA): document, correct, and/or escalate safety hazards. Support a safe work environment by responding quickly to unsafe practices and escalating unresolved issues (e.g., incorrect hoist use, poor tool placement, PPE misuse). Communication skills include: Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Respond promptly to supervisors and co-workers via phone, email, or in person. Actively participate in meetings and training. Identify and communicate production issues clearly. Suggest continuous improvements verbally or in writing. Communicate system status during shift pass-down. Physical Requirements include: Work 12+ hour shifts in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Lift and install parts up to 35 pounds manually. Perform tasks at a working height of 22" from the ground. Frequently kneel, crouch, and squat. Use manual tools (e.g., box wrench, cable tie cutters). Reach into machines constantly.
