ServiceNow HAM/SAM Analyst V (Onsite) Primary Location: Cincinnati, Ohio V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a ServiceNow HAM/SAM Analyst V for our premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Technical Requirements and Certifications " Preferred Certifications: ServiceNow Fundamentals. Software Asset Management (SAM) Professional Fundamentals. Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM). Education and Experience " Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management or a related field. Proven track record of managing software assets and implementing lifecycle management processes. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, particularly in software asset management. Experience in implementing and optimizing software asset management processes within ServiceNow. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities " Technical Skills: Knowledge of software asset lifecycle management, including discovery, normalization, procurement, inventory control, and disposal. Ability to configure and customize ServiceNow workflows, forms, and reports. Knowledge of ServiceNow's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its integration with software asset management. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to address software-related issues. Ability to analyze data within ServiceNow to make informed decisions about software assets. Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues related to software asset management in ServiceNow. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors, stakeholders, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to train and support team members in using ServiceNow for software asset management. Must Have: Ability to analyze software performance and cost data to make informed decisions. Experience reading and interpreting contracts (good written and oral communication skills). Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools. Proficiency in ServiceNow ITSM and SAM modules. ServiceNow Software Asset Management. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Discovery Model Normalization: Standardize discovered software asset data to ensure consistency and accuracy. Create and maintain normalized software publisher names, product names, and versions. Software Model Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of software models. Standardize software models to streamline procurement and compliance. Evaluate and select software models based on performance, cost, and compatibility. Software Entitlement Creation: Manage and optimize the request, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of software entitlements. Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements. Software Net License Position Management: Track, evaluate, and manage software license rights, compliance, and optimization. Reconcile software installations with entitlements to determine the effective license position (ELP). Identify and mitigate compliance risks and optimize software usage. ServiceNow Integration: Understand the software asset management processes within the ServiceNow platform. Understand the configuration and customization of ServiceNow modules to support software asset management. Interested?
