Location: Remote (USA) Employment Type: Part-time (1020 hours/week), 1099 Contractor Reports To: Senior Director of Project Management Rate: $35$45/hour Start Date: March 1, 2026About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and trusted Project Manager: Operations (PMO) to support the Senior Director of Project Management and the broader PM team internal operations efforts and corporate initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, anticipates needs before they arise, and brings strong judgment, operational excellence, and project management expertise. The PMO will play a critical role in keeping projects, communication, and workflows organized and moving forward. The ideal candidate is a polished communicator, systems thinker, and reliable partner who excels at managing complex workflows, streamlining communication, and ensuring structure and follow-through across internal and external initiatives. This is a remote position supporting a remote team, with minimal travel throughout the year. We operate in the Eastern Time Zone, but candidates can be located anywhere in the US. The position is initially intended to be a contract role starting at 10-20hrs/wk, but may mature into a full-time role within 6 months. Key Responsibilities Data and Document Management Create, review, edit, and organize internal PM and Operations documentation using industry standard tools (e.g., Powerpoint, Excel, Smartsheet, etc...) Manage client project-specific documents and version control Perform data entry and analytics in support of project needs as required Communication & Coordination Coordinate and track internal meetings and cross-functional initiatives Support scheduling and logistics for external client project meetings Manage client agendas and action-item tracking in partnership with Project Leads Resource & Metric Tracking Maintain internal databases and tracking systems Coordinate resource planning with the Project Management and Finance teams Support monthly KPI tracking and departmental performance analysis How Youll Work Remotely manage weekly team meetings and calls via Zoom Proactively manage priorities, communication, and follow-through Anticipate team needs and optimize the teams time for project delivery Partner cross-functionally to improve processes and operational efficiency Qualifications Required 2+ years of experience in a Project Management Assistant, Project Coordinator, or similar role Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems, with sensitivity to team-based work Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, Smartsheet, AI generative language models and similar tools Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial, or regulated environments Pharma or biotech industry experience, scientific background preferred Experience supporting cross-functional projects or operational initiatives What Success Looks Like The Project Management teams time is protected and used effectively Project workflows are accurate, timely, and well-organized Internal and external communication is clear and aligned The organization feels more structured, efficient, and supported recblid njilod5dhdsfeugcjjl6gz2plpyfx8
