Job Description

Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to providing nursing care for patients undergoing Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) for opioid addiction. This role focuses on enhancing patient outcomes across health, substance use, and mental health treatment by promoting patient empowerment and shared decision-making. Job Summary Deliver safe and effective nursing care to MAT patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. Perform nursing procedures, therapies, and tests as ordered within your scope of practice. Monitor patient health status, treatment progress, and medication adherence, providing direct medical support and collaborating closely with prescribers. Responsibilities include patient screening, medical and substance use assessments, care coordination, education on medication use and relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, and connecting patients to community resources during clinic hours. Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Education Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred. Experience Clinical experience with substance use disorder treatment is preferred. Licenses and Certifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Washington State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire. Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient care techniques. Ability to build effective working relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and team members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Work Environment This full-time position involves 10-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek. The role is based in a healthcare setting serving the Pacific Northwest region, offering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
