What You'll Do Lead Medical Excellence in Clinical Trials Act as the Medical Monitor for gastroenterology studies, ensuring both scientific integrity and patient safety. Oversee the full clinical trial lifecycle, from protocol development to study completion with expert medical guidance. Review and approve essential study documents, including protocols, Medical Monitoring Plans, safety reports, and Informed Consent Forms. Perform real-time medical data reviews and evaluate protocol deviations to maintain medical accuracy across study deliverables. Drive Client Success & Relationships Develop and sustain strong collaborative relationships with pharmaceutical sponsors. Provide medical expertise during client meetings and support bid pursuits and proposal development. Deliver therapeutic area training to study teams and site personnel to enhance understanding and execution. Address complex medical and protocol-related inquiries from sites and study teams promptly. Shape Drug Development Strategy Engage in early activities and feasibility assessments to inform the clinical trial process. Contribute valuable medical insights into protocol design and drug development initiatives. Support pharmacovigilance by conducting medical reviews of serious adverse events. Provide comprehensive risk assessments for clinical trial sponsorships. Collaborate & Innovate Partner within a dynamic matrix environment alongside cross-functional project teams to drive innovation. Assist in business development efforts utilizing your gastroenterology expertise. Contribute to thought leadership by creating white papers, publications, and training modules. Participate in emergency medical contact rotations as needed to fulfill team requirements. What You Bring Required Qualifications MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree with relevant clinical practice experience. Active or prior medical licensure or equivalent clinical training experience. A robust understanding of clinical medicine and patient care principles. Preferred Experience Experience as a Physician in Industry or as a Clinical Trial Investigator. Background in medical monitoring and clinical trial design/execution. Familiarity with drug safety and pharmacovigilance processes. Essential Skills Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal medical communication. Client-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal abilities. Superior time management and adeptness at prioritizing multiple projects. Attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
