Position Summary As a vital part of our team, the Restaurant Leader will report to the District Manager, ensuring the Del Taco brand is represented in every facet of the restaurant's operations. This role focuses on driving sales while optimizing the restaurant's efficiency and profitability through adherence to the Del Taco Way. Essential Job Functions Recruit, hire, and retain top-quality staff to fully staff the restaurant. Ensure all team members maintain certification per the current training process. Create and nurture a service-oriented culture. Foster an environment of fun and teamwork. Evaluate employee performance and advocate for skill development and advancement. Administer disciplinary actions, including recommendations for suspension or termination when necessary. Deliver the Brand the Del Taco Way by: Executing Del Taco standards and processes consistently. Maintaining the restaurant and customer areas to the highest standards. Ensuring all equipment meets operational and safety standards. Providing high-quality products that meet Del Taco's specifications every time. Adhering to established cleaning schedules and standards. Assuring employees are in proper uniform at all times. Delivering a consistent and smooth service experience. Ensuring all promotional materials and signage are correctly displayed. Drive Sales and Customer Loyalty by: Setting and communicating clear sales goals. Placing team members effectively according to sales forecasts. Maximizing customer numbers and average check values to boost capacity and overall value. Identifying local marketing opportunities to attract new patrons. Staying informed about local events and understanding competition within the area. Maintaining speed and service excellence. Achieve Profitability by: Maintain staffing levels that align with actual sales reports. Ensure compliance with all labor laws. Manage inventory accurately to reduce waste and prevent theft. Implement and adhere to cash handling procedures and standards. Conduct cash audits and address any discrepancies. Execute health and safety standards effectively. Minimize costs through efficient vendor management. Communicate and achieve controllable cost targets. Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary based on changing circumstances. Knowledge, Skills & Experience High School diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years of leadership experience in the QSR industry or a full-service concept. ServSafe Certification is a must. Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong math skills. Able to work independently and thrive under pressure. Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering individual growth and development. Physical Requirements/Environment/Working Conditions Work environments include both office and restaurant settings, requiring lengthy periods of standing and movement. This role may necessitate driving or traveling to various restaurant locations, including potential overnight trips. A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance are required. Pay Range: $83,200 - $85,000
