Join Us in Transforming Fire Protection Engineering! The National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA), the foremost advocate for the fire sprinkler industry, is on the lookout for an accomplished Engineering Services Manager. In this exciting leadership position, you'll steer a team of engineering professionals, provide technical direction, and represent the industry in key national codes and standards committees. This pivotal role is tailored for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive expertise in water-based fire protection systems, NFPA standards, and applied engineering research. At NFSA, every position directly impacts our mission of saving lives and safeguarding property through the broad adoption of fire sprinklers. Your Role and Responsibilities Lead and mentor a talented team of NFSA engineering staff and technical contributors. Act as NFSA's representative on committees such as NFPA, ICC, AWWA, ISO, and other national and international standards bodies. Provide expert technical guidance to members as the Expert of the Day (EOD). Develop and deliver informative TechNotes, Tech Tuesday webinars, and other technical publications. Serve as a speaker and subject-matter expert at NFSA and industry conferences. Coordinate industry research projects that promote fire sprinkler innovation and advocacy. Create and implement technical training programs and educational materials. Support NFSA's mission through additional technical and strategic projects as assigned. Why NFSA? Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related engineering field (Advanced degree preferred). 6+ years of experience in fire protection engineering, focusing on water-based systems design. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proven experience in supervising or mentoring engineering professionals. Essential Skills & Competencies In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, fire sprinkler systems, and applied research. Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD/BIM software. Collaborative leadership style with strong interpersonal skills.
