Lead Applications Analyst

First Merchants Bank is excited to welcome a Lead Applications Analyst to our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be the key liaison between stakeholders and technology, analyzing business requirements, documenting findings, and assessing risks related to our applications. You will ensure our assigned applications function optimally and are maintained according to vendor standards, supporting our operations on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities Include: Maximize the efficiency and functionality of assigned applications, performing regular business process reviews to enhance client experiences. Evaluate product offerings and identify valuable enhancements, presenting recommendations to the team with clear rationale for collective decision-making. Lead or collaborate on key projects such as system upgrades and bank integrations, working with various departments to achieve the project goals through best practice project management. Create and manage reporting systems that provide actionable insights to support business decisions. Oversee the maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans and models. Ensure all application changes adhere to established processes, minimizing exceptions and obtaining special approvals when necessary. To Succeed in This Position, We Require: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED). A minimum of three (3) years of experience as an application/business/systems analyst, particularly within the financial industry. The Following Are a Plus: A Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related discipline. Experience in banking operations and a solid understanding of bank structure. For Enterprise Applications: Technical certifications in Microsoft, CompTIA, and/or Cisco. Foxtrot Certification. Knowledge of SQL, SAS Visual Analytics, SSRS, or similar reporting technologies. For Deposit Applications: Payment Certifications (AAP, NCP, and/or APRP). Knowledge of SQL.
