Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceFull job descriptionAvalon Medical Center is seeking a full time/part time/contract board certified/eligible noninvasive Cardiologist to join our growing multi-specialty practice.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients to diagnose cardiovascular conditions.Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac imaging.Prescribe treatment plans, including medications and lifestyle changes, to manage cardiovascular health.Educate patients and their families about heart disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.Document patient information accurately in the medical record, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Participate in continuing education programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in cardiology.Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices for patient safety and care.Minimum Education RequirementDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a focus on Cardiology.Board Certified or Board Eligible in CardiologySuccessful completion of an approved Cardiology residency training program.LicensureValid and active license to practice as a Cardiologist in the State of New York.BE/BC in Cardiology is preferredCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.Active DEA LicenseQualificationsExperience in patient care within a medical office setting is preferred.Experience with ECG, Echo, Stress TestingStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals committed to enhancing the health and well-being of our patients through exceptional cardiology care.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractSchedule:8-hour shiftWork Location: In person
