Practice to the highest level in a unique private practice setting! Haywood Family Eye Care is a private practice located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Practice full scope optometry in a unique setting rivaling any office in the country. Our office has 3 ODs and recently moved to a new, state- of-the-art, 8 exam lane, 5,000 sq foot clinic. In 2022, we were named one of America's Finest Optical Retailers by Invision Magazine. Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package with a generous production bonus. We anticipate a take home pay of between 150K - 170K in year 1 with our pay structure on 4.5 days a week. Additional benefits include: health insurance, 401K with company match, state license reimbursement, professional liability insurance, CE allowance, North Carolina Optometric Society dues and American Optometric Association dues. Our office has no weekend or evening hours and closes at 1pm on Fridays. In addition to the above benefits we offer a one time relocation allowance of $5,000. Our package will allow you to work less yet still rival compensation of other opportunities. Practice/ Technology: Our office technology includes OCT, OptoMap, VR perimetry headsets, Fundus Camera, Anterior Segment Camera. In addition, our team is highly trained to perform pre-testing, contact lens training, prior authorization, referrals and dilation. Our goal is to maximize efficiency with a highly trained support team to allow you to focus on quality time with each patient. Community: Waynesville, NC is located in Western North Carolina about 30 miles west of Asheville, NC. Haywood County, NC boasts some of the most unique places to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and skiing. In addition to our beautiful surroundings, the small town feel of Waynesville is a great area for families and to escape the business of the larger metro areas, but still close enough to enjoy the amenities of a larger city.
