USPI North Houston Endoscopy & Surgeryis seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our team . We have 4 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Colorectal, GI, Pain Management. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and proceduresPerform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor vital signs before, during, or after surgery depending on assigned area (PreOp, OR, or PACU)Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to coordinate care and ensure patient safetyEducate patients and families on procedures, anesthesia, and post-operative careMaintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with standards and regulationsSupport quality assurance, infection control, and patient safety initiatives Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent RN license in the state of Texas (required)BLS and ACLS certifications (required or willingness to obtain upon hire)1–3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, ideally in Pre-Op, PACU, or ambulatory surgeryExperience in GI/endoscopy procedures is a plusStrong assessment and IV therapy skillsStrong assessment and critical-thinking abilities in pre-op and recovery settingsProficient in-patient monitoring, including vitals, sedation recovery, and pain managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactionsKnowledge of infection control and patient safety protocolsAbility to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentEMR proficiency and accurate clinical documentationCompetence in IV placement, medication administration, and emergency response Who We AreAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
