As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Rover in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support guests and store teams with strong communication, access awareness, and clear reporting, using a computer and/or tablet as needed. What You'll Do: + Provide customer service to customers, tenants, and store leadership by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. + Respond to incidents, alarms, and customer concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per site requirements. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. + Monitor access points and service corridors, helping to verify authorized entry for employees, vendors, and/or contractors and directing visitors to appropriate locations. + Complete routine reports and communicate timely updates to supervisors and site contacts regarding security-related issues, maintenance hazards, and/or policy violations. Minimum Requirements: + Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience. + Have at least 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. + Be 21+ years of age. + Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. + Have X-Ray screening experience preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
