This role is available for remote work or from one of our offices located in Philadelphia, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Richmond, VA, Houston, TX, Atlanta, GA, and Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and a desire to lead and manage a diverse team of air quality and climate professionals. Key Responsibilities: Lead business development, project management, and technical efforts for air quality projects, including emissions quantification, climate change programs, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory analysis. Maintain strong client relationships and visibility through regular communication, involvement in professional organizations, and participation in industry events. Serve as the technical expert on air quality regulatory affairs, particularly regarding the Clean Air Act and other federal, state, and local regulations. Provide consulting services on air permitting and conduct air quality impact assessments using dispersion modeling and health risk evaluations. Support facility development and offer integrated consulting to some of the largest projects across the U.S. Oversee projects and team management, providing technical guidance, risk management, and mentorship. Work collaboratively with colleagues across North America. Assist in recruiting, training, and cultivating the next generation of environmental professionals. Promote and embody the company's culture and core values. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, biology, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Professional registration (e.g., P.E., P.G.) is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy infrastructure field, especially related to permitting and compliance, is essential. Experience managing the delivery of projects, including financial and risk management, is required. Familiarity with the FERC certification process, NEPA, and relevant local permitting requirements is necessary. Experience with FERC regulations and environmental permitting under various federal laws is required. Preferred qualifications include certifications in erosion and sediment control and OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training. Willingness to engage in fieldwork, including potential overnight travel, is also expected.
