Seasonal Lifeguard - Summer 2026

Lifeguard Position Are you ready to have some fun in the sun while working at a pool or lake? The City of Olathe is looking for energetic, outdoor-loving people to be Lifeguards for the upcoming 2026 summer. Come make a splash working as a member of the seasonal aquatic staff for the City of Olathe! MUST BE 15 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER STARTING HOURLY PAY: $15.50 - $16.25 (based on experience) The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring pool and other aquatic areas to provide assistance and protection to participants. Key responsibilities include: Providing a safe, fun recreational experience by enforcement of rules and delivering excellent customer service; represents the City of Olathe and demonstrates positive public relations. Monitoring pools and other aquatic areas to ensure the safety of swimmers; rescuing distressed persons, using rescue techniques and equipment; applying first aid to those in need and contacting emergency medical personnel in serious situations. Inspecting equipment and maintaining the facility to ensure safety; maintaining cleanliness of facility. Qualifications: Experience: Must be at least 15 years of age or older. Education: None required. Licenses & Certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate, Waterpark Certificate and CPR Certificate are required.
