We’re searching for a Senior Conveyance Practice Leader to drive world-class water and wastewater conveyance and storage projects for our municipal, private, and agricultural clients. This role can be based in any of our offices across California, including San Francisco, Ontario, Redding, Sacramento, San Diego, Los Angeles, Irvine, Oakland, or San Jose. In this leadership position, you will collaborate with our California Water Market Growth Director and Water Market Director of Operations to develop and implement a strategic growth plan for our conveyance team. You will build, retain, and mentor a team of skilled conveyance engineers and planners to tackle our clients' most challenging projects. Your insights into market trends will help differentiate our services from competitors while facilitating communication between National Market Solution leaders, California Sales Leaders, and Operations leadership within our Water Business Unit. Your expertise will be crucial in leading business development initiatives with key clients, resulting in new project acquisitions. As a Project Manager, you will oversee various projects within a defined client portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will also lead project teams through all phases of planning, execution, and closeout in line with established processes. Utilizing your technical knowledge of conveyance, you will mentor staff, foster long-term client relationships, and drive new work initiatives that include strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts. The salary range below reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all listed California locations. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 15 years of experience in the water or wastewater industry within a civil engineering role. Licensed California Professional Engineer. Proven track record of delivering multiple conveyance-related projects in water or wastewater sectors. Ability to manage and motivate a multi-disciplinary team effectively. Expertise in design and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, studies, proposals, and reports. Ideally, you will also possess: A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Experience serving clients across various fields, including conveyance pipeline design and project management. A passion for personal and team growth. Ability to serve as the technical liaison between project owners and design teams. Strong business development and networking skills to leverage Jacobs' extensive resources for market growth. Proven experience in supporting business development activities with local municipalities. Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
