Store Protection Specialist

Store Protection Specialist Supports the Asset Protection team and Store Management by executing core responsibilities, focused on acting as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss/dishonesty and critical incidents. Supports a positive customer shopping experience in the store and maintains a strong store partnership with store teams and asset protection. Exercises sound judgment in decision-making to ensure their safety, the safety of others, and the protection of the Company brand. Adheres to Company policies and maintains and supports Company culture and values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains a proper and professional stance in the designated area at the front of the store Act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss/dishonesty Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide Wear a complete Company approved uniform Greet customers appropriately, demonstrate courtesy and respect Establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department Respond to customer requests for assistance by referring customers to store management or customer service via a Company issued radio Observe and report any suspicious behavior or critical incidents to Security Operations Center and store management Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a member of management Adhere to all Company Policy and Procedure Document required incidents Performs other duties as assigned Coordinate efforts to manage or respond to crises (e.g., violent crimes, natural disasters) Leadership Expectations: Judgement Execution and Results Planning and Improvement Influence and Communicate Ethics and Compliance Adaptability Talent/Strategy Build Relationships Drives Safety and Crisis Management Initiatives Drives Criminal Deterrence and Investigation Initiatives Develops and implements Asset Protection Vision Requirements Qualifications/Entry Requirements: Strong verbal and written communication Sound decision making skills Ability to take initiative and perform well independently Prioritizes/organizes workload and manages time effectively Able to stand for long periods of time 0-2 years retail or security experience Work Environment/Physical Demands: Visual acuity, talking, hearing, standing for multiple hours, lifting, pulling, pushing, and repetitive motions Benefits: 401(k) Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible schedule Sportsman's Warehouse is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
