General Lab Supervisor

General Lab Supervisor We are seeking a qualified and experienced General Lab Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in chemistry and hematology, and demonstrate leadership abilities to manage the day-to-day operations of the lab. This is a permanent role with full benefits. Responsibilities Oversee 4 FTEs performing testing and quality assurance activities in the chemistry and hematology program. Ensure technical skill in point of care testing and clinical laboratory operations. Perform day-to-day supervision of the general lab, including troubleshooting, revising/updating policies, and scheduling. Read slides and perform emergency bench work if necessary. Essential Skills NYS Clinical Technologist license Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or a Master's degree with 2 years of clinical lab experience Experience in chemistry and hematology 1 or more years in a leadership/supervisory role preferred, but open to strong technologists looking to move into a leadership role Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a medical technologist or core lab supervisor Strong organizational and communication skills Work Environment The position operates Monday to Friday, with daytime shifts from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM. There are no night shifts or weekend work required. This role provides a competitive salary and a leadership opportunity in a clinical lab setting. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Health Benefits are effective one month from your date of hire if you are scheduled to work at least 16 hours per week. To ensure coverage, it is required that you make your benefits selections within the 30 days following your date of hire. If your selections are not made on-line within the 30-day period, the Medical Center will assign benefits (default) coverage. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Brooklyn, NY.
