Registered Nurse (RN) Radiation OncologyCompensation: $ 90,000-$120,000Location: Silver Spring, MDEmployment Type: Full-TimeSign-On Bonus: $10,000Position OverviewNurseAmerica is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse Radiation Oncology to join a high-performing outpatient oncology team. This role provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing radiation and oncology-related treatments while supporting continuity of care across the interdisciplinary team.This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who are passionate about oncology care and want to make a meaningful impact on patients and families during their cancer journey.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care following established clinical standardsConduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, labs, and psychosocial needsPrepare and administer therapies and medications under physician supervisionAdminister medications and blood products safely and accuratelyPerform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line devicesMonitor patient responses to treatment and coordinate dose modifications as neededProvide patient and family education and psychosocial supportMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical recordEnsure proper consent and pre-authorization prior to treatmentsFollow OSHA and infection control guidelines when handling hazardous materialsAssist with clinical operations, including patient flow, scheduling, triage calls, and referralsCollaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical research teamsServe as a clinical resource to LPNs and medical assistantsParticipate in ongoing professional development and oncology educationQualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of MarylandCurrent BLS certification13 years of nursing experience (oncology experience preferred)Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient settingWork Environment & Physical RequirementsPossible exposure to communicable diseases, cytotoxic agents, and radiationProlonged standing and walkingAbility to lift and carry up to 40 lbsManual dexterity and coordination are required for patient care and equipment useWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experienceFull benefits package (medical, dental, vision)Retirement plan optionsPaid time offProfessional development and continuing education supportStable outpatient schedule and supportive clinical environmentApply now and make an impact where it matters most!
