The Analyst III - Vendor Master Data Compliance plays a critical role in vendor set-up and maintenance activities across Ahold Delhaize USA. This position involves collaborating with various departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective vendor set-up management & controls. This role evaluates the risks, benefits and operational impacts of managing vendor master data across the organization. This role is also responsible for supporting positive relationships, training, master data issue resolution and root cause analysis, while following control protocols in support of master data management guardrails. Essential job functions: Leads enterprise-wide risk and impact assessments related to the creation, governance, and lifecycle management of vendor master data, evaluating downstream implications across systems, operations, workflows, and regulatory compliance frameworks. Supports the development and drives the enforcement of an enterprise master data management strategy to ensure the accuracy, security, regulatory compliance, and long-term reliability of vendor master records, enabling a single source of truth across all ADUSA brands and business units. Directs advanced root-cause analysis to identify systemic data quality issues, including duplicate records, incomplete or contradictory attributes, and structural inconsistencies, while coordinating remediation plans with cross-functional partners and technical teams. Supports the design, implementation, and usage of data validation tools, including automated controls, rule-based exception handling, and continuous quality scoring mechanisms aligned with internal governance standards and audit requirements. Interprets and enforces compliance obligations by evaluating vendor data against internal controls, external regulations, audit recommendations, and risk-mitigation policies, ensuring all master data practices withstand internal and external scrutiny. Conducts end-to-end operational impact analyses to quantify how vendor master data creation and maintenance influences operational efficiency, working capital, payment accuracy, vendor performance, and reporting integrity. Establishes long-term monitoring frameworks and analytics dashboards that measure data integrity, trend deviations, exception volumes, and compliance adherence, providing leadership with actionable insights and predictive indicators. Develops and executes enterprise education strategies to raise functional business partners' and vendors' data literacy, ensuring consistent understanding of vendor onboarding processes, data standards, and change-management expectations. Serves as the escalation authority for complex or high-risk vendor data issues, applying expert-level problem solving, cross-system traceability, and stakeholder coordination to resolve urgent or business-critical discrepancies. Performs data modeling and evaluation of vendor master records, preparing daily and strategic reporting that informs operational decisions, highlights risk exposure, and supports master data initiatives. Supports the design, measurement, and optimization of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vendor setup, data maintenance efficiency, cycle time, accuracy, and overall master data service performance. Champions continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating workflow efficiency, identifying automation opportunities, and proposing strategic enhancements to vendor onboarding, data maintenance processes, and governance frameworks. Supports impact assessments and readiness planning for vendor master data system releases, participating in testing, validating changes, and communicating cross-functional implications to stakeholders. Acts as a mentor and subject-matter expert, developing team capabilities through training on master data management principles, data tools, analytical methods, and quality assurance practices. Performs additional enterprise-support duties as required to advance organizational priorities, uphold ADUSA values, and strengthen the master data management framework across all business units. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, or related field and/or equivalent professional work experience 6-8 years previous experience in vendor management, master data management, internal controls, or similar role Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimize vendor relationships. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders effectively. Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills Attention to detail, well-organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously Complete understanding and ability to apply principles and standards. Knowledge of industry practices. Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Requires travel - typically 10-20% Preferred Qualificaions: Accounting knowledge (Accounts Payable/Receivable, etc.) Internal controls/process improvement background Experience in grocery retail/category management Familiarity with Ahold Delhaize USA systems and processes ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $75,040 - $112,560 IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $86,320 - $129,480 Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
