Small Boat Operator/Mechanic

Responsibilities: Lead and assist in boat operations, navigation in and out of harbors and shipyards. Ability to maneuver small boats to dock and undock, to come along side other vessels. Shipboard support to include knowledge of launching and recovery of small boats. (17'-28') Position will be a part of an established Marine Operations division that supports oil spill response, oil containment boom deployment, and line handling. Assist in other non-small boat operations on occasion, including but not limited to, general automotive mechanic tasks, vacuum truck logistics, sewer/drain cleaning. Candidate can expect to be trained in functions beyond normal operations. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Trade school training a plus. U.S. Citizenship required. Possess valid state driver's license, Commercial Driver License is a plus. Must be able to obtain TWIC and DBIDS badges. Good oral and written communication skills. Minimum of 1 year general mechanical and/or boat operations experience. Experience with driving pickup trucks with trailers on the road and in enclosed or limited spaces. Flexibility on hours/schedule due to customers' requirements. Working Conditions: Full-Time Position, with excellent benefit packages available. Accurate Marine Environmental is a 24/7 Oil Spill Response Organization. With that, the candidate should be aware they will be on call for any emergency responses.
