We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technicianfor our First Quality Baby Products locations in Macon, GA. This position will be responsible for working in a safe manner to maintain and repair all facility and support systems to include Plant Grounds. Primary responsibilities include: Demonstrate effective communication skills with team and customers. Abide by all company policies and procedures. Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times (PPE, LOTO, construction safety, etc) Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs on Plant Fire and Security Systems Repair, troubleshoot and upgrade Plant and Site Lighting Systems Perform troubleshooting and complete repairs/additions on Electrical Systems. Proper use of Electrical measuring meters and tools Inspect and recommend corrective actions on all support equipment Manage/Coordinate contractor activities Perform floor repairs Repair/paint drywall, corrugated walls and doors Install and repair door lock equipment and door hardware Perform minor plumbing Perform minor repairs and maintain Truck docks (Seals, Levelers, Restraints) Perform basic carpentry and metal work to include drilling and tapping Layout, measure, cut, thread, and install piping to include the use of pipe threading machine Proper use of hand and power tools (band saw, table saw, bench and hand grinders, sanders, etc.) Perform lifting with proper rigging techniques Fill in with the absence of Facility Supervisor. Troubleshoot HVAC systems, Chiller Systems, Splits units and Water Towers Troubleshoot Compressed Air Systems The ideal candidate should possess the following: Demonstrate effective communication skills with team and customers.
