Buyer II Position Our client, a leading organization in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Buyer II to join their team. As a Buyer II, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department supporting New Product Development teams. Job Title: Buyer II Location: Saint Paul, MN / 100% Onsite Pay Range: $33 to $36/hr on W2 9 Months Contract What's the Job? Create and process purchase orders, including direct, indirect, subcontract, stock transfer, down-payment, and discount orders, following documented procurement processes. Plan and schedule deliveries to optimize inventories, collaborating with engineering, sourcing, planning, category, and shipping teams to meet project demands. Process purchase requisitions, communicate with vendors to gather product information such as price, availability, and delivery schedules, and review quotes for accuracy. Facilitate vendor corrective actions in partnership with the program SQE to support quality improvements. Maintain and manage supplier relationships, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships and enhancing business relationships with Abbott. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or commodity management. Experience negotiating terms and purchasing agreements. Working knowledge of SAP ERP system and procurement concepts. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple organizational levels.
