job summary: Our client is a well known semiconductor company is seeking a Supply Chain Business Manager to come on a 1 year contract! This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of material flow, supplier performance, and supply chain processes, focusing on cost control, operational metric ownership (OTD, inventory), and driving continuous improvement across the supply base through cross-functional collaboration You are required to have a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or business, along with 8 years working experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or production environment, preferably semiconductor/manufacturing environment. location: Tualatin, Oregon job type: Contract salary: $55 - 65 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Drive Material Strategy & Procurement: Plan and schedule material flow, set supplier delivery goals, and manage procurement needs to align with production forecasts. Manage Supplier Performance & Risk: Define, track, and evaluate supplier performance metrics (Quality, Delivery, Cost) to drive continuous improvement and assess supply base risks. Lead Process & Inventory Optimization: Champion the deployment of best practices in procurement and inventory control (JIT, Kanban, min/max) and manufacturing strategies. Ensure Cross-Functional & Supplier Alignment: Collaborate with internal (Engineering, Manufacturing) and external partners to resolve complex supply challenges and ensure timely delivery of critical materials. Control Costs & Maximize Value: Monitor product costs to prevent negative Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and actively support cost reduction initiatives.
