Position Title: Behavioral Health ConsultantDepartment: Behavioral Health Reports To: Behavioral Health Director Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Work Hours: 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday) Travel: Less than 10% Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 for LCSW, LPC or LMFT $83,000-$98,000 for Psy.D Who We Are Esperanza Health Center is a multicultural, Christian ministry providing high-quality, affordable, bilingual healthcare to the Latino and underserved communities of Philadelphia. We care for the whole person-body, mind, and spirit-regardless of ability to pay, in the name of Jesus. Position Summary At Esperanza, we recognize that behavioral health is key to overall wellness. Our Behavioral Health Consultants work in close collaboration with medical providers to address mental health needs in the context of primary care. This role involves delivering individual and group interventions, brief therapy, and crisis response, helping patients of all ages reach their health and life goals through accessible, holistic care. Key Responsibilities Deliver culturally sensitive, strengths-based, trauma-informed care Provide brief clinical interventions to patients during medical visits Address mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, developmental needs, and substance use Collaborate with medical providers on treatment planning and shared care goals Develop and facilitate innovative group counseling formats Offer crisis management and safety planning Document services and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record Refer patients to higher levels of care and connect them to community resources What We Offer Fixed Monday-Friday schedule (no on-call, no evenings, no weekends) A collaborative work culture focused on mission and growth Ongoing clinical development and CE opportunities Clinical work that is meaningful, community-rooted, and spiritually integrated Three full-day staff retreats annually Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick time, holidays, and a paid sabbatical after seven years Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, retirement plan, long-term disability Tuition reimbursement after one year of service Eligibility for federal/state loan forgiveness programs You May Be a Great Fit If You: Are independently licensed in Pennsylvania as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psy.D Are bilingual in English and Spanish (or willing to participate in immersive language training) Are energized by a fast-paced, team-centered clinical environment Are committed to providing excellent care to underserved communities Desire to work in a faith-based healthcare ministry that integrates spiritual care into practice
