Mechanical Engineer

Role: Mechanical Engineer Location: Lockport, NY - Onsite Type: Contract Job Description: Create Operational method sheets for Advanced Energy (AEI) test fixtures in Adobe illustrator. Generating manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and wiring schematics for AEI test fixtures in Solidworks. Support in designing assembly fixtures. Physical unit verification of build units. Releasing design updates through Engineering Change Orders ( ECO ). PDM (in EPDM) and PLM Activities (In iPro - AEI tool). Generate / Update Bill of Material. Coordinate with purchasing team, engineering team, shop floor team and shipping team for building , testing and shipping the test fixtures. Support in enclosure machining, Skills: Experienced Mechanical Engineer. Preparation of BOM (Bill of Material), OMS (Operational Method Sheets ) Design of Sheetmetal and Machined parts design to work. GD&T and Tolerance stack up analysis. Manufacturing drawings creation. Experience of working in Solid works Exposure working with PDM ( EPDM preferred ) Experience handling simple to complex assemblies. Exposure to Electro Mechanical components and Enclosures. Qualification: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
