Job Details Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - LTAC / Long-Term Acute Care Nurse Location: Fort Thomas, KY 41075 (Northern Kentucky; close to Cincinnati, OH) Assignment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN) Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Facility Shifts: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (every other weekend required) Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: March 16, 2026 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1770/week Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience required (2 years preferred) ICU / Critical Care experience highly desired - LTAC and critical care nursing skills a plus Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and long-term care goals Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic health record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission to support smooth transitions of care Communicate changes in patient status to care team members to ensure continuity, safety, and quality outcomes Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate in an LTAC setting Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to all safety policies and procedures Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities Assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to advance clinical skills Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
