Crossing guards are not to engage in traffic direction or control. Qualifications: Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must have the ability to deal effectively and courteously with students and the general public. Shall be in physical condition that will permit adequate job performance. Must be 18 years or older and be able to obtain a clear FBI record check. Education/Training/Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D, and related job experience. Terms of Employment: Part-time, Ten-month employee Essential Functions: Assists children on their way to and from school in safely crossing roadways and intersections while holding a stop sign in such a manner as to be visible to approaching vehicles Assist Director of Transportation in maintaining accurate ridership logs and routes.
