Laser Cutter Operator

Job Title: WelderJob DescriptionA leading medical device manufacturer is seeking a skilled Laser Cutter / Press Brake Technician to support the production of high‑precision components. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work within a regulated, clean manufacturing environment. Candidates with experience in stainless steel, thin‑gauge materials, and tight‑tolerance fabrication will excel in this position.Laser Cutting Operations Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce precision sheet‑metal components. Adjust cutting parameters, tooling, and material settings to ensure optimal cut quality. Inspect cut parts for accuracy, edge quality, and conformance to specifications. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment. Sheet Metal Fabrication Handle, prepare, and process stainless steel and other medical‑grade materials. Perform layout, deburring, forming, and finishing operations as required. Ensure all fabricated parts meet dimensional and cosmetic requirements. Work from engineering drawings, work orders, and production travelers. Press Brake Operation Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet‑metal components. Select appropriate tooling and verify bend allowances and radii. Perform first‑piece inspections and make adjustments to maintain accuracy. Maintain consistent quality across small and medium production runs. Work EnvironmentThe weld role is situated within a manufacturing plant environment, where the noise level is usually moderate. The role will initially involve training on the day shift for 2-3 months before transitioning to the second shift. Day shift hours are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Second shift hours are 4:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with a pay differential for working this shift.
