Job Summary: As Assistant Manager, you are the face of Capriotti's ensuring every guest enjoys uncompromising quality and service. You'll lead the team to deliver hot food hot, cold food cold, fresh ingredients, and a spotless shop, all with a genuine smile. Responsibilities: Team Leadership Recruit, hire, and retain top talent Coach, develop, and motivate team members following Capriotti's training standards Identify development needs to foster growth and retention Scheduling & Operations Prepare fair, cost-conscious schedules without sacrificing guest satisfaction or morale Maintain high service standards and uphold company culture Food Quality & Compliance Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and presentation of all menu items Uphold Capriotti's recipes for consistent guest experiences Oversee compliance with health, safety, and maintenance regulations Financial & Sales Management Handle cash management, deposits, cost of goods, labor, and other financials Promote a "salesmanship" culture at the counter with suggestive selling techniques Manage purchasing, inventory, and waste control effectively Marketing & Communication Support local and brand-wide marketing initiatives Communicate effectively with team members, guests, vendors, and corporate Build trust across all shop relationships Problem-Solving & Resilience Analyze challenges and make sound decisions Stay calm and adaptable under pressure and shifting priorities Qualifications: Service-oriented with a strong desire to help others Time management skills; able to multitask while maintaining focus on guest experience and product quality Tech skills : POS system experience; computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, documents) Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one) Physical Requirements: Work in temperatures from 0F to 100F Stand/move for extended periods Lift 50 lbs. up to 10 feet; balance and carry 25 lbs. up to 50 feet If you're ready to wear many hats, grow your career, and bring passion and excellence to a dynamic team, Capriotti's Sandwich Shop wants to hear from you!
