Check Services Specialist I The Check Services Specialist I will support the critical check processing operations, ensuring accurate, efficient handling of financial transactions while developing foundational skills in banking operations. Essential Functions Check Processing Process incoming and outgoing checks accurately Verify check details and supporting documentation Perform daily reconciliation tasks Identify and escalate potential discrepancies Operational Support Maintain detailed transaction records Scanning and imaging check documents Support departmental administrative tasks Follow established check processing procedures Customer Service Handle basic member inquiries about check transactions Provide professional, courteous support Escalate complex issues to senior specialists Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Required Skills Strong attention to detail Basic computer proficiency Excellent communication skills Ability to learn quickly Fundamental math and analytical skills Technical Competencies Basic understanding of financial transaction systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Willingness to learn new technologies and systems Qualifications Educational Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Experience 1-year financial services experience preferred but not required Advancement Criteria from CSS I to CSS II Consistent high-performance evaluations Mastery of check processing skills Successful completion of advanced training programs Demonstrated ability to handle complex scenarios Status: Full-time, In-Person (Option for one day at home per week) Hours: Shift flexibility expected to ensure consistent coverage
