We are seeking a highly skilled locum physician to provide exceptional obstetric care in Springfield, MO. This pivotal role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team in a busy hospital environment, delivering care for approximately 2,700 to 3,000 annual births, including level 3 NICU and potential gynecological emergencies. Key Responsibilities: Provide obstetric and gynecological inpatient care, including managing labor and delivery Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Handle emergent situations with expertise, including NICU and gynecological emergencies when needed Document patient care accurately and efficiently Required Skills: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology Valid medical license to practice in Missouri Proven experience in hospital obstetric care, including high-volume delivery settings Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Level 3 NICU management Ability to handle complex obstetric cases and emergencies Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years’ post-residency experience in hospital-based obstetrics Previous experience working as a locum or in a hospital setting is advantageous Other Requirements: Availability to start on 12/31/2025 Current medical license in Missouri BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications Willingness to travel as reimbursed for licensure, certification, and related expenses Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling high patient volumes and emergencies Earn an hourly rate of $218.40, along with benefits including competitive pay packages, weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), a robust referral bonus program, 24/7 dedicated support team, paid sick leave, and reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other approved expenses.
