Associate Transportation Engineer

Job Description Impact Recruitment has partnered with a leading civil engineering design firm that also specializes in environmental services, right-of-way, surveying, public outreach, funding assistance, and construction support. We are seeking a talented Associate Transportation Engineer to join our team in Folsom, Redding, or San Diego, CA. In this role, you will work under the guidance of Senior Engineers, contributing to a range of civil engineering projects from initial concept and preliminary engineering to final design and construction. You'll have the opportunity to apply independent judgment while working on impactful transportation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Execute engineering tasks related to the planning, design, and construction of transportation projects Develop detailed roadway and structural designs, design calculations, technical reports, and PS&E packages for transportation facilities Collaborate with internal teams, utility companies, subconsultants, resource agencies, and clients Additional Responsibilities: Monitor project progress, budgets, and expenditures Conduct quality control and establish best practices for deliverables Mentor and guide assistant engineers, technicians, and interns Support marketing and proposal development efforts Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field California Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within six months 6-10 years of experience in transportation projects post-graduation Valid California driver's license Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience delivering PS&E bid packages for transportation projects Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary team coordination, design documentation, and local agency/Caltrans standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation design software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, or AutoCAD Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment Commitment to high-quality work and exceptional client service How to Apply:If you are a qualified candidate and ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you! - Apply online at: - Email us at: - Call us at: (805) 371-2666 Impact Recruitment is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
