Title: Radiology Technologist Status: Full-time Location: Eureka, CA Relocation: Yes, relocation assistance available for ideal candidate Salary: $95,950 - $120,432 Visa Support: Not Supported Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our healthcare team under the direction of the Department Director and in collaboration with the Radiology Supervisor and radiologists. In this role you will perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures (including radiography and fluoroscopy) for patients of all ages, adhering to department and age-specific standards. You will serve as a patient- and staff-facing professional, participating in quality control initiatives and mentoring less-experienced technologists. You will also participate in the on-call schedule and travel to off-campus locations when requested. Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures (radiography, fluoroscopy) according to physician orders and departmental protocols Ensure imaging quality, proper patient positioning and radiation safety for patients, staff and self. Prepare patients for exams: explain procedures, assess conditions, help ensure comfort and safety. Collaborate with radiologists to review images, determine if additional imaging is needed. Serve as a technical clinical role model for junior technologists and support quality improvement projects Participate in departmental staffing via call schedule and travel to off-campus locations if needed Required Qualifications: Graduate of a radiologic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation (or equivalent) Valid California Radiologic Technologist license upon hire BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire Preferred Qualifications: Experience working as a hospital-based radiographer Skill Set Required: Patient positioning and imaging equipment operation Radiation safety and regulatory compliance Interpersonal and communication skills: patient, family, and medical staff interactions bility to travel/interact with off-campus imaging sites and handle call schedule Mentorship/leadership capability for supporting less-experienced technologists Why this location is appealing: Eureka offers a unique combination of scenic coastal access, outdoor recreation (hiking, kayaking, beaches), a relaxed lifestyle, and a lower cost of living compared to many metro areas in California.
