Welding/NDT Inspector

Structural Steel Welding Inspectors And Non-Destructive Testing Technicians Advance Testing Company, Inc., an established construction materials testing and inspection firm, has immediate openings for structural steel welding inspectors and non-destructive testing technicians looking to further their career in a professional setting. Selected candidates will be responsible for performing inspections and testing on a wide variety of project types, including but not limited to building construction sites, power generation facilities, bridges and fabrication facilities. Most project sites are within 90 miles of the corporate office, with some out of town travel required on a periodic basis. Specific openings are available on billion dollar infrastructure projects in the New York Hudson Valley area. Other typical project types that employees are assigned to include highways, bridges, commercial buildings, airports, tunnels, fabrication plants, material production facilities, government and military sites, and schools. Applicants must be able to obtain any security clearances and background confirmation required by clients for sensitive projects and locations. Position requirements: American Welding Society (AWS) CWI certification Excellent communication skills as real time interaction with on-site quality control and production personnel is essential. Strong multi-tasking abilities as production facilities may be working on multiple projects or contracts during the same day Strong computer skills as use of custom software and digital cameras is needed daily in report preparation. Flexibility of schedule and assignment durations may vary and travel is often required. Strong plan reading and specification comprehension skills. Other certifications of particular interest include: ASNT UT Level II/III ASNT MT Level II/III ASNT PT Level II/III Positions offer competitive salary with growth opportunities, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
