Job Summary The Human Resources/Benefits Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and enhancing Nexion Health's company culture, employee engagement, and overall employee experience by providing premier customer service to Nexion associates and all stakeholders. This position provides essential support across multiple HR functions to include benefits, recruitment, and retention, as well as HR auditing, reporting, and compliance while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. Job Responsibilities Benefits Administration Serve as the first responder to associate and vendor/carrier benefits inquiries via the email box regarding health, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, retirement plans, and all other Nexion associate benefits and processes. Monitor and maintain the benefits email box with a sense of urgency, ensuring prompt, customer-focused responses to associates and all stakeholders. Assist with benefits enrollments, terminations, ongoing changes (life events and status changes), and data entry into the HCM benefits and carrier portals. Support annual open enrollment activities, communications, and follow-up tasks. Conduct routine audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy between HCM, payroll, and benefit carriers. Assist the Benefits & Compensation Manager with vendor coordination, invoice and self-bill reconciliations, reporting, and ongoing benefits projects. Leave Administration Coordinate and track FMLA, ADA, PWFA, personal leaves, workers' compensation-related leaves, and all other leave of absence (LOA) programs. Ensure timely collection of required documentation, communication of leave status, and accurate recordkeeping related to leaves. Coordinate with associates, managers, and third-party partners to ensure timely and accurate responses to carrier questions and compliant leave processing. Assist in producing leave-related reports, audits, and compliance reviews. Administrative, Operational, and Project Support Provide administrative and project support to the Benefits & Compensation Manager, Human Resources Specialist, and VPHR including scheduling, report preparation, communications, and assisting with departmental initiatives. Handle sensitive and protected health information with the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion and in compliance with applicable laws. Conduct periodic audits of personnel files, benefits records, and HR records to ensure regulatory and internal compliance. Assist with compliance-driven HR activities including required annual audits, documentation collection, and state/federal reporting obligations. Recruiting and Onboarding (Back-Up Support) Provide back-up coverage, as needed, for talent acquisition tasks such as sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews when needed. Support the corporate onboarding process by verifying completion of new hire documents and ensuring a high-quality orientation experience. Assist with preparing onboarding materials, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition for new corporate office associates. General HR Support Sort and distribute incoming departmental mail. Support ongoing and special projects, HR initiatives, and process improvements as assigned. Contribute to fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive workplace culture. Perform other duties as needed/assigned to meet the goals of the HR department. Position Qualifications Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree in human resources strongly preferred. Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a multi-site healthcare environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience supporting benefits and/or leave administration preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ADP Lyric HCM or similar systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with associates at all levels. Strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities with accuracy and urgency. Ability to exercise good judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and respond with sensitivity, tact, professionalism, and a sense of urgency. Working knowledge of HR, benefits, and leaving administration practices to include FMLA, ADA, and PWFA. Ability to work collaboratively and support a positive, team-oriented culture and work environment.
