Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Ortho Surgical Number of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Day shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 05/05/2024 Hourly pay: $41.65 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $1,499.40 JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryDepartment: Surgical Shift Timings: Night Shift 07:00 - 19:30 Hours Per Week: 36 hours Roles & ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities:Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Complexity of Work:Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment:Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Minimum QualificationsEOW, EOH; At least 1 year of inpatient medical surgical nursing experience, EPIC May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles, if needed QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Ortho Surgical experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered Maryland state license One year of Cerner experience Requirements • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
