The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design for construction projects, with a strong focus on flood barrier installation, resilience, and compliance with building codes.QualificationsActive Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis4-8 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 2 years post-licensureProficiency with structural analysis/design software (RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, STAAD)Key Responsibilities:Design and analyze structural components for buildings and flood barriersPrepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for flood barrier installation projectsCollaborate with architects, civil engineers, and construction teams to ensure projects are safe, compliant, and efficiently executedReview and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor proposalsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and flood protection standardsConduct inspections and site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safetyAssist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
